Body clock officially screwed — didn’t sleep until 7am and had a Korean class at 9am which I still made. Had fun with Handstands to try and get the brain and bloodflow moving

See the boxes peeping out from behind the curtain!

When bashing about the place I found some mystery boxes behind the curtain. Then I saw a sign called DESCENDING LIFE LINE and was extremely intrigued. Turns out that the fire escape is straight out the window and you get an abseil kit to get down the wall. I could definitely escape using this ropewalk exit to get a hot meal…

KOREAN LESSONS
I thought I was doing ok with reading and pronouncing, but then the other girl on video seemed to be able to speak pretty fluently and I could only hear two other guys in the in person class who were answering every question immediately. This was supposed to be a beginner class. Things moved on quickly even before I could read what was going on. It got to the point where I thought I was in the wrong class. So after a while I was just smiling and nodding through Zoom, but thinking ‘I need this 2 hours to end now’.

At the end of the session, the tutor asked to see the work I had written and I had to say that I didn’t do it because I don’t understand anything! So we had a chat after and she didn’t realise I had been struggling as my reading and speaking was good and I was smiling and nodding. She said that the people answering were students that had worked very hard and that there were a few others I couldn’t see in the room who were the same as me. I said I probably haven’t worked hard, so need to do a bit extra! I dropped the class in the afternoon to do some revision work on the Lingodeer app as I find that quite accessible and easy to use.

I’ve really given up eating 3 times a day now. It’s amazing how tired you get of cold food.

All in all I think these are the ramblings of a man decending into chaos.
