Another brain frying couple of Korean lessons, but feel a bit of a breakthrough as actually started to understand something some simple sentences. Ultimately, I think I just really need to be able to order food and coffee and ask for directions and I’ll be happy with that.
Had a huge sleep in middle of day again. Think my brain gets tired from the language learning. Also, I’ve gone to the other side of the world and then have been incarcerated in the same room the entire time. Like going to a casino and not knowing what hour it is. I don’t even know what day it is either. Time is a made up social construct anyway?

Also got a nosebleed, funnily enough in the same nostril that was violated a few days earlier. Are these connected? I used to get them a lot but then since I had a nosejob in 2016 (!) I haven’t had any.

Notable meals:

Day 5 — Breakfast vegetable curry, quite sweet, think it was pumpkin in there. Again, big fan of curry for breakfast. Too sweet for a curry though, even for this sugar toothed guy and I didn’t warm it up. 5/10

Day 5 — Dinner. Unknown meat burger patty. (No, it’s not labrador, we don’t make dog meat jokes here ok?!). Seems somewhere in the middle of pork and beef and very dense, like a tightly packed meatball. Not bad, and again enjoyed with the jalapenos. If there’s one lesson here, put jaleps on everything. 6/10

Chicken nuggets were very good. Kinda expected as this is the land of Korean Fried Chicken (the real KFC). Now my brain has already started daydreaming to where I can get some KFC on my release. There’s actually a thing here called ‘Chimaek’ which is ‘Fried chicken and beer’ and places specialise in it.

Day 6 — Breakfast. Limp pastries. Not good at all. Dry and like airy cardboard. The fruity puree was also like soft glue. Still ate it. 3/10

At the end of Day 6 I was actually too full from the food so I didn’t touch the dinner. Think I’ve overdone it on the rice. So I just ate 5 bananas that I had accumulated. Perhaps I will become an extreme fruitarian.
